New Procedures!

1/3/2017:  The LACCD Libraries have made the decision to update their intralibrary loan procedures to allow students themselves to place holds on items.

Intra-Library Loan (HOLDS)

LACCD Libraries

Intra-Library loan, now HOLDS, borrows books that the East L.A. college libraries do not own or carry in print.

Users will now place their own ILL request (which is basically a HOLD) through the OPAC. Students can place holds on up to three items at a time.

This service is currently available to LACCD students, faculty and staff of the college.

Normally, it takes approximately 5 working days to receive the requested material.

The maximum number of requests or items borrowed shall not exceed three (3) books at any one time.

You can borrow books up to 2 weeks (renewals allowed).

Return books directly to the circulation desk.

Please return materials on time to avoid fines and holds on your record. Failure to return material may result in suspension of library privileges.

Patrons will receive an email notification once the a book arrives and is available for check out. You will pick up material(s) at the circulation desk on the first floor.

There is no charge to use our service. However, you will be responsible or liable for lost, late, or damaged materials.

Note: We make the best effort to fulfill a request.

Overdue fines will be charged and paid at the receiving library through the Fiscal Office.  The money will be kept by the receiving library.

Paying bills for lost items will be handled by the owning library.
