Hello ELAC Community!

It is an honor to be among the first (along with my co-intern Justin) to take on the challenge of an all online internship. My goals are in service and instruction, and in my time here i hope to become a resource that the student body can come to rely on, even if only in some small regard.

A little about me: I'm a second year MLIS student at UCLA, my goal is to support public education and individual growth through librarianship and the promotion of lifelong learning. My undergraduate degree is in History, and I love a good book, i'm currently reading: Buckmister Fuller's Universe, Capitalism in the Web of Life, The Autobiography of W.E.B. Du Bois, and Outlaw Culture. Please reach out if you would like to discuss literature.

I'm looking forward to what I can learn, what I can teach, and how we may grow together as a community despite the troubling times that we find ourselves in. I applaud all students who continue to educate themselves, all of the professors that continue to teach, and the librarians and information technologists that enable this unique educational experience. Persist and stay safe.

Thank you.

Shawn
