About ELAC Libraries
East Los Angeles College (ELAC) has two libraries, one at each ELAC campus (East and Southeast). Together, ELAC Libraries serve over 29,000 students and over 1,000 ELAC faculty (full-time and adjunct), administrators, and staff.
The ELAC Libraries contain approximately 110,000 print books (including special Chicano Studies, Children, and International Languages collections), 85,000 electronic books, 2,500 DVDs, 30 print magazine and newspaper subscriptions, and over 90 electronic databases.
ELAC Libraries Mission Statement
The East Los Angeles College Libraries promote student learning and faculty teaching by providing relevant print, audio-visual and electronic resources, information competency instruction, and educational technology to meet student, staff, and faculty's information needs.
