New York Times - Access Pass

• ELAC students, faculty, and staff can sign up for a free New York Times online subscription courtesy of the ELAC Library. Your subscription includes:
  • All New York Times website (nytimes.com) content
  • New York Times Book Review and Magazine 
  • New York Times in Higher Education site 
  • New York Times Cooking and Games sections
  • The Athletic
  • Wirecutter (similar to Consumer Reviews)
  • Access is available on and off campus and from the NYT's app.

Step 1: Go to https://nytimesineducation.com/access-nyt/east-los-angeles-college-monterey-park-ca/

Step 2: If you are on campus, click on the "here" link as pictured below.

If you are off-campus, click on the "Go" link as pictured below. You will be prompted to log in with your Student (SIS) or Faculty Portal username and password.

Step 3: If you do not have a New York Times account, click Create Account (as pictured below). If you already have a New York Times account, click "log in here" and register your current account.

• You can use your LACCD email or a personal email address to create your new account. 

Step 4: You have successfully claimed a NYT's Academic Pass when you see the Start Your Access screen. Click on "Go to NYTimes.com" to begin access.

Your New York Times All Access Academic Pass provides full access to NYT apps; visit http://nytimes.com/mobile to download. To access these apps, users must first create a New York Times account, and claim the Academic All Access Pass. These apps can also be found in the major app stores for Android, Apple, and Google.
