Embedding Canvas Library Research Tutorials to Your Course

Dear ELAC Faculty,

The ELAC Library has created a series of information literacy tutorials that you can embed directly into your Canvas courses! Information literacy is the ability to effectively use information, and it is a skill that our students are learning to develop in college. These modules are not only appropriate for classes with a research paper but also those classes with any assignment in which students are asked to find and retrieve information from the library or open internet source. Even if you book library orientations, students cannot possibly learn all these research skills in a single hour! These modules supplement library orientations and provide students with constant references to how to find good information for their assignments. 

Currently, we offer the following Canvas modules:

As open educational resources (OER), these guides are all available for use and are highly customizable. You can change the content of the pages to meet your specific course needs, add additional resources, etc.
