ELAC Libraries Code of Conduct

ELAC LIBRARIES CODE OF CONDUCT

The ELAC Libraries Code of Conduct is intended to reinforce our Mission Statement, ensuring a quality, shared study and learning environment for all library users.

Face covering/mask highly recommended

Face mask must be worn properly over nose and mouth.

The following are NOT ALLOWED:

  • Eating or drinking except for bottled water
  • Leaving trash behind 
  • Harassing, threatening, or intimidating behavior
  • Loud voices or noise disturbances
  • Talking on cellphones
  • Leaving children and belongings unattended
  • Soliciting
  • Vandalizing of library property
  • Moving furniture
  • Offensive odors or inappropriate personal hygiene
  • Feet or large items on furniture
  • Sleeping
  • Obstructing or occupying book shelf aisles

This Code of Conduct is in accord with: 

  • LACCD Board of Trustees Rules under Chapter IX. Campus Life
  • Office of the Chancellor Administrative Regulations:
    • Use of District and College Computing Facilities
    • Network Security Policy
